Check out what “nature’s candy” (aka real fruit) has to offer in our sorbet pops:

Coconut

Can you ever really go wrong with coconut? While the flavor alone is heavenly, the nutrient benefits it has are incredible! Coconut is easy to digest and absorb. It’s also rich in fiber, and has several key vitamins (C, E, B1, B3, B5, and B6), and minerals (including iron, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorous). Not only does coconut help protect against heart disease and tooth decay, it also boosts your metabolism and increases your energy. It also helps kill disease-causing bacteria.

Banana

This simple yellow fruit has several health benefits because it’s packed with essential vitamins and minerals. The Vitamin C in bananas is great for strengthening your immune system and cell health.  You may have heard that bananas are also high in potassium. That’s true! But what exactly does that mean? Potassium helps your nerve and muscle functions. It also aids in regulating your body’s fluids, helping prevent muscle cramps. In addition, bananas have calcium, manganese, iron, and several other essential vitamins that help keep you healthy.

Blackberry

Blackberries are excellent antioxidants, and rank in the top 10 highest-antioxidant foods. Antioxidants are necessary because they help protect your cells from oxidation and help reduce inflammation. Blackberries are also chock-full of Vitamin A, which is responsible for helping your eyesight, strengthening your immune system, and reproduction. Vitamin A also helps your organs (such as your heart, kidneys, and lungs) to function properly.  The Vitamin K in blackberries helps with bone and heart health, while the manganese is important for your brain to function.

Dark Chocolate

While not a fruit, dark chocolate is indeed a powerful nutrient (not to be confused with milk chocolate, or white chocolate). Like blackberries, dark chocolate is also rich in antioxidants. It has also been linked to improving cardiovascular health, cholesterol, enhancing brain function, and managing blood pressure.

Mango

This tropical fruit has several diverse health benefits. Because of certain enzymes in mangos, they have the ability to soothe/comfort your stomach. They are also packed with fiber and are good sources of Vitamins A, C, and B6 (which help support your immunity, vision, brain function, and enhance your mood). Mangos are abundant in potassium and magnesium–great remedies for those with high blood pressure. Suffice it to say, this fruit is pretty amazing.

Raspberry

Another food rich in antioxidants, the raspberry has one of the highest rankings of fiber content, and is also rich in biotin and Vitamin E. Biotin helps support the body’s metabolism to burn fat and carbohydrates, making it a great aid in weight loss. Raspberries are also excellent sources of Vitamin B and C, manganese, folic acid, and iron, and is a great way to improve your skin’s health.

Strawberry

This simple heart-shaped fruit has several key vitamins, antioxidants, and fibers, and is free of sodium, cholesterol, and fat. Strawberries are also a good source of potassium, manganese, and folic acid. The strawberry is a great addition to any diet as it helps reduce hypertension and inflammation, boosts your immune system, regulates your nervous system and maintains blood pressure, and promotes eye/skin health.

Pineapple

Like many of the above-mentioned fruits, pineapple is an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese, so it will help with your immune system and bone health. It is also a great source of copper–which stimulates your brain, boosts your energy, improves thyroid function, and prevents premature aging. Pineapples also are great for your oral health–preventing plaque/tooth decay, and promoting healthy gums. They also have several essential vitamins (A, B1, B6, and C) that will also help with your vision, protect against infections, and cure constipation/irritable bowels.

Man, it’s no wonder these are all superfoods!
